I am from India, offering prayers in Madina mosque for the last year. I am impressed by daily islamic gatherings and talks after every salaat which helped me in acknowledge Islamic fiqh, Tafseer-e-quran and Hadees. Beside of these I attend regular religious gatherings by different scholars around the globe from USA, Syria, Egypt, Cyprus, Pakistan, UK, Egypt and other Islamic nations.

We searched Google for a mosque at Sheffield to attend congregational prayer for Eid Fitr. We found Madina Masjid and my family and our guests came over from Worksop. We were very impressed with the hospitality of officials in welcoming us and a section provided for the women. The architecture was beautiful and the ambience was charming and impressive. Salaam to everybody. Would just like to say the masjid looks beautiful mashallah and we have needed a central mosque in Sheffield for a long time. Sheffield has a very poor skyline but with the mosque it looks so much better. Many thanks to all the people who donated so generously and also thanks to Haji Yunus Ahmed who gave up so much time and effort to help make this effort co-ordinated. Same with Nawaz saab. With professionals like this on the project we were bound to succeed. I hope the youth can appreciate the effort in this and start attending regularly to make full use of its wonderful facilites inshallah.

Alhamdullah, the work happening in the masjid is great there are lots of events happening. The premisies are excellent for more community gatherings. Inshahallah I hope to see great things in the pipeline in the future.

Mashallah this is a beautiful building. I was a student in Sheffield between 2000-2004 and can remember the Imam during Ramadan asking for support so they can buy the car park next door. I think the people of Sheffield should be proud of their achievements as the mere pennies donated will now benefit the community and ultimately when they leave this world the Masjid will continue to prosper for future generations and the blessings will continue for those people until the day of judgement! Inshallah. Keep up the hard work and please keep me in your duas.

Slaam. I would just like to congratulate the members of the Madina masjid team for the wonderful and dedicated organistation shown for the Eid Milad Ul Nabi program of events today.
The procession and speeches inparticular were wonderful. It was such an amazing and overwhelming image of united celebration and respect for the prophet pbu, and certainly a first for many children and local residents to experience an event such as this in the area, and indeed on such a scale. I was taken aback by the kind words and questions of interest by local residents (non Muslims) as the procession was underway on Sunday lunchtime. As well as the generosity shown by members of the Local Muslim community who donated snacks and food to the procession along the way.

I am also extremly proud in the way the masjid has responded to the the 'inclusivness' of the community as a 'whole'. This will inshalla continue to increase social and community cohesion with all members of faiths and groups. A central pupose of any religious institution.

We can only begin about spreading a better understanding of Islam and its practices if we open our door and hearts to those of other faiths even its critics.

Mashallah the mosque is very beautiul and I see it everyday and have prayed there on many occasions, I do dua we complete the financial aspect of the mosque quickly inshahallah.

I think the mosque is an amazing structure and beautiful sight to see out of my window. It would be beneficial for the mosque to devise a newsletter or magazine, giving information on layout etc. and also about what services are going to be provided by the mosque on completion so everyone can make good use out of the facilities.

i just want to give a quick idea to help rasie funds for the masjid.. u know the committee are working very hard mashallah ... i think that we should allocate a day in the near future where we all donate ONE DAYS WAGE to the masjid, regardless of who you are and what you work as, from taxi drivers, to call centre workers, to managing directors, a quick and easy way 2 raise some money . I think people will aid aswell.
Inshallah may Allah swt grant the committee and the aalim the barakah and respect because they work ever so hard and Inshallah can't wait to get this masjid completed. ws

MashaAllah once more Ramadaan ul Mubarak is upon us may Allah allow us to benefit from this holy month.

In the Ahadith of the Holy Prophet salAllahu aleyhi wasalim there are narrations about the rewards being increased during this holy month the rough meaning of one is that every reward is multyplyed 70 fold and that every nafil(voluntary)action that one carries out will be rewarded as a fard(obligatory)action.


So my brothers and sisters please make special effort increase in voluntary(nafil) worship and less in worldly actions and remember all the muslims that have passed away and all the ummah that are suffering around the world, maybe we will not be here next Ramadaan so make the most of this month while we are all here and just to finish there is a long hadith of the Holy Prophet salAllaho aleyhi wasalim which the rough meaning is
One day the Holy Prophet salAllahu aleyhi wasalim was ascending the mimbar and on each step he salAllahu aleyhi wasalim said Ameen. The Sahaaba Asked why did you do that and the Holy Prophet salAllahu aleyhi wasalim said that the arch angel Gibraeel came and said
wretched is the person
1. who hears your name and does not send salaam on you
2. one who's parents attain old age and he doesn't receive their blessings
3. one who reaches Ramadaan and doesn't acheive Allahs forgivenes

All that is correct is from Allah and the mistakes are from me May Allah forgive me

Inshallah it looks to be the same size roughly as the one we have in Glasgow here which is also alhamdulillah really huge and nice, so impressed when i saw it and inshallah will come again when its complete. I am enquiring from Canada, I wanted to know if the masjid sustained any damages due to the recent floooding?

NOTE FROM MADINA MASJID TRUST: By the grace of Allah, the Masjid was not affected due to the flooding across parts of Sheffield and South Yorkshire. Thank you to everyone for your enquiries and good wishes. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected and we hope they will be able to resume their normal lives quickly. Members of the Masjid have been involved individually with various efforts to help the victims of the flooding.

The recent event held at Madina Masjid in which a young world famous scholar Sheikh Shaami and Naat Khwaan Awais Qadri attended beyond any doubt proved to all how important the building of this great masjid was.
The masjid has given the Muslims of Sheffield not only a beautiful and spiritual place to pray but also a great place that can be used for large religious and educational events. I hope that Madina Masjid becomes the heart of community events and activities and not just another place to just pray. To do this the committee needs to play a vital role in making it into a place which quenches the educational thirst and needs of all.

Asalamu'Alaykum Masha'Allah the Masjid is looking very nice. I feel very fortunate to live near the Mosque and have a beautiful view of Madina Masjid. Brothers, now the mosque is complete for the next generation and for many generations to come Insha'Allah it's about time we started reading with the Jamaat, as our time is very little on this planet earth the real life starts hereafter! Mashallah the masjid is a beautifull site to rest your eyes on in the heart of Sheffield. May Allah reward the comittee and its members for putting in their time and commitment to such a rewarding cause.

I would also like to comment on the fact that i attended a few womens milads this year.

I hope the new education system is put in place sooner rather than later for adults and children because our children and adults need this educational resource, we don't want to send our children to people's homes to read when Allah has given us such a beautifull home.

I also feel there should be a women's comittee because when there are events all the hard work and effort that the community has put together is disregarded. I would strongly recommend you to take these comments into consideration and act as soon as possible.
